Multivariate brain activity patterns distinguish children with ASD from TD children. Multivariate analysis revealed significant differences in spatial activation patterns between children with ASD and TD children in the dAI (with a classification accuracy peak of 85%) and in the temporal pole (with a classification accuracy peak of 90%). Brain activation patterns associated with processing deviant faces vs scenes were used as data input to the classifier.
