Fig. 6 — Changes in Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) grade after surgery. The MRI grades of the three experimental groups after surgery were significantly higher than those of the control group. In addition, the MRI grade gradually increased in both the 16G puncture and annulus trephination group over the follow-up period (*P < 0.01, vs. control group). The MRI grade of the PLGA implantation group significantly decreased at 6 months post-surgery (^† P < 0.05, vs. 1 and 3 months).
