ApVs and AmVs interact with both the RER and SER. Uninfected, A. phagocytophilum infected, or A. marginale infected RF/6A cells were screened with antibodies targeting kinectin-1 or reticulon-4, which are markers for the RER and SER, respectively, and examined using LSCM.
