28-GHz Gaussian beams generated by lensed horn antennas are converted into OAM beams (l = 1 and 3) by using spiral phase plates and multiplexed by using a beamsplitter. Metamaterials-based axicon transforms multiplexed OAM beams into BG beams of similar mode orders. Received beams are demultiplexed one at a time by using an SPP having opposite spiral phase.
