superscript “T” p < .01. Abbreviations within the table are: AE-SR discrepancy between alcohol expectancies and subjective response; HIGH+ = high arousal positive; LOW+ = low arousal positive; HIGH- = high arousal negative; LOW- = low arousal negative. Step 1 variables included sex for all models, with females as the reference group. Drinking frequency was included in Step 1 for the models assessing driving after drinking and alcohol-related problems. Step 2 variables were the discrepancy scores. Demographic covariate information is not presented for the descending limb variables because it was the same as that presented for the ascending limb variables.
