A representative absence of contact (C0) papillary thyroid carcinoma. Traverse (A) and longitudinal (B) sonograms from two-dimensional ultrasonography demonstrate the absence of contact by the papillary thyroid carcinoma. Tomographic ultrasound imaging rendered images of three-dimensional ultrasonography in the transverse (C), longitudinal (D), and coronal (E) planes are corresponding with the two-dimensional ultrasonographic findings. After surgery, pathologic report was also negative for extrathyroidal extension.
