Schematic comparison of bimolecular asymmetry in cancer and normal cell membranes. Cancer cell surface may display specific protein, lipid, carbohydrates and glycoproteins that are expressed under cancerous situation that may be absent or minimal on normal cell surface under healthy biological conditions. These specific biomolecules will be targeted in the unbiased selection.
