Cox-2 was immunolabeled with primary antibody against Cox-2 and Alexa Fluor488-conjugated secondary antibody (green). The cochlear hair cells were labeled with Alexa Fluor 568-conjugated phalloidin (red). The nuclei were labeled with DAPI (blue). Scale bar represents 25 μm. (C,D) Western bolts showing the expression levels of Cox-2 in the mouse cochlea at various time points before, during, and after noise exposure. The Cox-2 protein level was significantly increased at 24 h during noise exposure (D-24h) and gradually recovered 7 days post-noise exposure (P-7d). *P < 0.01 compared with the Pre level.
