Alterations in the fluorescence for Rh123 were expressed as index of variation (IV) calculated as IV = (Gmt—Gmc)/Gmc, where Gmt and Gmc corresponded to the geometric mean of histograms obtained for treated and untreated (control) cells. Trifluoremethoxy carbonyl cyanide phenyl hydrazone (FCCP) was used as positive control.
