pH-induced aggregation of recombinant cingulins. Each cingulin was present at a concentration of 4 μm at pH 7.7 in the presence of 150 mm NaCl (A) or 1,000 mm NaCl (B). Solutions were titrated to pH 5.5 by the addition of acetic acid. The protein sizes in pure solutions of rCinY2 and rCinW2 and in a 1:1 mixture of the cingulins (rCinY2 + rCinW2) were determined by dynamic light scattering.
