Simvastatin dose-dependently suppresses insulin-like growth factor 1 receptor (IGF-1R) expression. The effect of simvastatin on IGF-1R in bile duct cancer cells was evaluated by Western blot analysis. According to the manufacturer’s datasheet, three bands (IGF-1R precursor, IGF-1Rβ, and IGF-1Rα) are reported to appear after IGF-1Rβ antibody treatment. These results are representative of three separate experiments.
