Schematic describing the 3.5- and 4.5-month doxycycline intervention studies. High-resolution structural magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), amide proton transfer (APT), diffusion tensor imaging (DTI), and arterial spin labelling (ASL) were acquired at all time points. Doxycycline was administered to a subset of rTg4510 animals after the baseline scan; all treated rTg4510 animals were maintained on a doxycycline mixed chow diet until the end of each respective study.
