Nestin immunoreactivity at the central canal was found to decline with (A) GFAP immunoreactivity at the lesion edge (Pearson’s correlation, r = −0.871, p < 0.001) and (B) Nestin immunoreactivity at the lesion edge (Pearson’s correlation, r = −0.786, p < 0.001) respectively. (C) Nestin immunoreactivity was proportionally increased at the lesion edge with the GFAP immunoreactivity at the lesion edge (Pearson’s correlation, r = 0.900, p < 0.001).
