The genome has a small peptide covalently linked to the 5′ end (genome-linked virus protein, VPg) and a 3′ polyadenylated terminus. Two open reading frames with conserved protein domains (RNA helicase, Hel; cysteine protease, Pro; RNA-dependent RNA polymerase, RdRp) are indicated. Two conserved internal ribosome entry site (IRES) located in the non-translated region are shown.
