Effect of the chalcones CH1 and CH2 on the growth of human hepatocellular carcinoma (HepG2 and HuH-7) and normal mouse hepatocyte (HepM). Structures of CH1 and CH2 (a); HepG2 (b,c); HuH-7 (d) and HepM (e) were treated with various concentrations of the compounds CH1 (Black bars) and CH2 (White bars) for 24 (b) and 48 (ce) h. Chalcones combined (CH1:CH2) were used in HepG2 (f) and HuH-7 (g) cells for 48 h. Cell viability was measured using the MTT assay. Data are expressed as the mean ± SEM from three independent experiments, each performed in triplicate. Statistical differences were assessed by a one-way ANOVA (Kruskal–Wallis) followed by Dunn’s post hoc test. * p < 0.05, ** p < 0.01, *** p < 0.001 compared with the condition 0 μM, NS, Non-significant.
