(a) A series of Odf2 serine/tyrosine-to-alanine mutants were generated and transfected with Tssk4. The symbol *indicates the possible phosphorylation sites of Odf2, given that there was no obvious change in the migration rate. (b) The Odf2 (S76A) mutant displayed no change in electrophoretic motility when co-transfected with Tssk4, implying that serine 76 may be the phosphorylation site catalyzed by Tssk4. (c) Tssk4 was co-transfected with wild-type Odf2 and the Odf2 (S76A) mutant, and the phosphorylation band was identified using a specific phospho-Ser-76 Odf2 antibody.
