Observed play is the proportion of time spent playing with objects labelled as gender-appropriate. Probabilities are two-tailed. DVs: (i) verbal preference for objects labelled as gender-appropriate (score ranges from 0 to 2), (ii) observed play: time spent playing in the playroom with objects labelled as gender-appropriate (expressed as a proportion of total time observed playing) and (iii) memory as to which objects were labelled as gender-appropriate (score ranges from 0 to 4).
