Cellular levels of IscR, CRP, and SmcR are unaffected by one another. The wild type and isogenic mutants were grown aerobically to an A₆₀₀ of 0.5 (log phase, L) and 2.0 (stationary phase, S). The cells were then examined for the presence of IscR, CRP, SmcR, and GbpA proteins by Western blot analyses using the rabbit anti-V. vulnificus IscR, anti-V. vulnificus CRP, and anti-V. vulnificus SmcR, anti-V. vulnificus GbpA sera, respectively.
