SRSF11 is required for telomere elongation. (A) HeLa S3 cells stably expressing control shRNA (shControl) or SRSF11 shRNAs (shSRSF11–1 and shSRSF11–2) were harvested at the indicated population doublings (PDs) and subjected to immunoblotting to measure the levels of various telomerase components. (B) HeLa S3 cells stably expressing shControl or shSRSF11 were harvested at PD 99 and subjected to immunoblotting to measure the levels of various shelterin proteins. (C) HeLa S3 cells stably expressing shControl or shSRSF11 were harvested at the indicated PDs and analyzed for telomerase activity by the TRAP assay. ITAS, internal telomerase assay standard.
