(A–C) Histograms show changes in myelin-related RNA expression detected by real time PCR in samples isolated from the lumbosacral spinal cord of mice under sedentary conditions (SRD), following 7 weeks of exercise training (ERD) or consumption of a high fat diet (SHF) alone, or in combination (EHF). Expression of myelin proteins (PLP and MBP) and a transcription factor essential for oligodendrocyte differentiation (Myrf1), were all differentially regulated by the high fat and exercise interventions examined.
