Stressed neurons are not protected from proteotoxicity by astrocyte-conditioned media. A) The 1^st MG132 hit or an equivalent v/v of vehicle was added for 24h to wells in the presence of astrocytes (conditioned media) or in their absence (unconditioned media). Conditioned and unconditioned media (still containing 1^st hit of MG132 or vehicle) were then delivered to neocortical neurons by diluting them 1:1 in neuron media.
