Chronic infusion of ghrelin abolishes the blocking effect. Rats in the saline group (n=6) exhibited higher levels of responding to D relative to B, exhibiting the blocking effect. In contrast, animals in the ghrelin group (n=7) exhibited similar levels of responding across both stimuli, failing to demonstrate the effect.
