A, carbamylcholine (CCh, 200 nmol l−1) results in a significant increase in ventricular fibrillation threshold (VFT), which is reversed upon washout of the drug (*P < 0.05, n = 9) B and C, this effect is abolished by blockade of the muscarinic receptor with atropine (B, 0.1 μmol l−1, n = 6) and nicotinic receptor with mecamylamine (C, Mec, 10 μmol l−1, n = 6).
