1 TA50 is the temperature at which an enzyme has 50% of its optimal activity.

2 T50 is the temperature at which an enzyme loses 50% of its activity after 10 min pre-incubation.

3 Are is the cellulase’s specific activity at its optimal temperature measured in a 10 min assay with 1 μg purified enzyme and 1% PASC. The values are normalized relative to the specific activity of BsCel5A catalytic core.

* All of these enzymes are assayed at their optimal temperature at 60°C except that the optimal temperatures of C2 and C3 are 55°C; and P2, C5, C6, C7, and C12 are 50°C.
