Fold changes in viral copy number versus 18sRNA gene from the vaginal lavage samples by tracking up to 23 weeks post-infection. All mice were treated with Depo-Provera at 3 days before MmuPV1 infection. The vaginal tracts of two mice (4-3L and 4-3R) were wounded with cytobrush and N-9 before MmuPV1 infection and the other two mice (5-3L and 5-3R) were not wounded before infection. SYBR Green Q-PCR was conducted with DNA samples extracted from the vaginal lavage.
