Effect of CD38 (A) and AHI-9 (B) treatment on ATP production in PF mitochondria. Crude mitochondrial preparations were obtained by digitonin extraction and ATP production in untreated and treated samples was measured using succinate as a substrate. Malonate, specific inhibitor of succinate dehydrogenase was used to inhibit ATP production by oxidative phosphorylation and atractyloside was used to inhibit import of ADP into mitochondria. ATP production in untreated mitochondria was set to 100%. The bars represent means expressed as percentages from three independent RNAi inductions. Error bars are SEM.
