Inspection (“Look”) Swelling, pain, aneurysm, edema, presence of multiple collateral vessels, fluid leakage, bleeding, color (redness), steal syndrome symptoms
When arm is elevated, the fistula collapses completely; when there is a stenosis, the fistula remains distended
