All images show a characteristic “figure of 8” appearance to the midbrain (circles), hypoplasia/atrophy of the brainstem (arrows) and cerebellar hemispheres > vermis, and complete agenesis of the corpus callosum. Comparison of the fetal and postnatal MRIs of patient II-9 suggests progressive loss of volume of the pontine belly in the last trimester.
