A. Quantitative analysis of protein synthesis by means of radioactive protein labeling with 35S-methionine after treatment with Everolimus (1 μM) shows significant decrease of protein synthesis (mean ±SD; n = 3, **p < 0.01; t-test). B. Ex vivo tissue slice experiments with 35S-methionine labeling show a significantly greater inhibition of protein synthesis after treatment with Everolimus (10 μM) in tumor tissue than in normal tissue (median and 1.+3. quartil; nTumor = 7, nControl = 5; **p < 0.01, ***p < 0.001; t-test).
