Effect of Ani on insulin sensitivity in rats with crush syndrome. Ani (20 mg/kg, i.p.) was administrated 30 min before decompression. Blood samples were collected at 6 h after decompression. Ani decreased serum insulin (A), but had no significant effect on glucose (B) in rats after decompression. Ani improved insulin sensitivity, reflected by decreased HOMA-IR index (C) and increased QUICKI (D). N = 20 per group. ^∗P < 0.05, ^∗∗P < 0.01 vs. normal. ^#P < 0.05 vs. control.
