W76 in Vpu contributes to the modulation Env in infected T cells. CEM.NKR.luc cells were infected with wild-type, vpu-negative, or the indicated vpu mutant viruses as indicated. Three days later, the cells were treated or not with 30 ng/ml IFN-α, MLN4924, or both and then stained and analyzed the next day for surface Env (using antibody 2G12), gating on p24-positive cells.
