Effect of air drying and proteic solutions on staining. Tonsil tissue was immunostained for Ki-67 without (A) or after air-drying (B–D). Before air-drying, the sections were immersed in buffer (B), or in a solution of 5% defatted milk (C) or glycine (D). Note faint residual staining in the germinal center of the air-dried section.
