Mice received LMW dextran (i.v. via tail vein) at 3 h after NECA injection (n = 10 per group), and LMW dextran concentrations in forebrain (A1), cerebellum (B1), liver (C), and blood (D) were quantified 90 min later. BBB permeability was normalized to LMW dextran concentration in blood for LMW dextran concentrations in forebrain (A2) and cerebellum (B2). The bars represent means ± SEM. Significant differences were determined by the unpaired t test. ***p < 0.001; n.s. indicates no significant difference.
