HPLC identification of reaction products formed by NH2-terminally (His)6-tagged (A and B) and COOH-terminally (His)6-tagged (C and D) 13-LOX-ΔTP (solid line) and 13-LOX (dotted line) using LA (A and C) and ARA (B and D) as substrates. Note that 13-LOX converts its substrates exclusively into the corresponding S-isomers of 13-HODE (13:9-HODE ratio: 89:11; enantiomeric (S/R) ratio of 13-HODE: 93:7) and 15-HETE (15:12/11:5-HETE ratio: 92: 3.2:4.8; S/R ratio of 15-HETE: 92:8).
