Infection-induced reduction in fecundity is further enhanced in CLIPA2 kd mosquitoes. Mosquitoes treated with dsLacZ and dsCLIPA2 were injected with live E. coli (OD₆₀₀ = 0.4). Noninjected and PBS-injected wild-type naive mosquitoes served as controls. All experimental groups were fed on the same naive mouse for an equal period of time. The scatter plot represents the median number (red lines) of eggs per mosquito in each experimental group. Statistical analysis was performed using the Mann-Whitney test. Medians were considered significant if p < 0.05.
