Fig. 5 — Viral load levels in the lungs of mice following infection with PR8-NP_N370Q virus. Groups of mice (7/group) immunized with the HI-H7N3 virus were infected i.n. four weeks later with 3 LD₅₀ (which corresponds to 10^3.7 TCID₅₀) of PR8-NP_N370Q virus. Naïve mice inoculated with PR8-NP_N370Q virus served as controls. Three days and seven days after challenge, mice were sacrificed and lungs were collected for viral titration on MDCK cells. Virus titers from individual mice are presented as log₁₀ TCID₅₀ per ml (expressed as the mean ± SD log₁₀TCID₅₀/g of tissue).
