Plotted is the log2 ratio of differentially expressed genes between the two wound types (FDR ≤ 0.05; fold-change ≥ 1.5). Dashed lines represent genes that could not be validated by WISH, and that are likely false-positives. (B) WISH validations of wound-induced genes shown in panel A (performed on at least 10 animals). Top panel shows gene expression in intact animals compared to the expression in amputated trunks (bottom panel). Amputated animals were fixed at the time point showing peak asymmetry in expression.
