Visualization of Smac1-GFP release from mitochondria of Cry2-mCh-BaxS184E/Tom20-Cib/Smac1-GFP transfected HeLa cells. (a) Initial localization of Smac1 is mitochondrial. A 10 ms pulse was then applied every 2 min. At the (b) 12 and (c) 14 min time points Smac1 localization is distinctly less mitochondrial during cellular collapse.
