Mice undergoing spontaneous nicotine withdrawal were treated with vehicle or N-acetylcysteine (15, 30, or 120 mg/kg, ip), and the number of crosses between arms of the plus maze was counted. Numbers are presented as the mean ± SEM for n = 6 mice per group. MP: mini pump.
