Cellular proliferation in Tie2 overexpressed cells. To determine the effect of Tie2 overexpression on cellular proliferation, oeTie2 and Mock cells are seeded in six-well plates at a density of 1 × 10⁴ viable cells/well. Both transfectants are counted on seven consecutive days. oeTie2 cells (SAS- and Sa3-derived transfectants; 2 clones each) do not affect cellular growth compared with Mock cells after 7 days (168 hours [hr]). The results are expressed as the means ± standard errors of the mean of values from three assays.
