Comparison of SPR and congeners in SM-inhibition reporter assay. The ORF59-GFP reporter cell line was either mock treated (–) or treated with dox (+) to induce SM expression, which is required for GFP expression. The induced cells were also treated with either DMSO vehicle (0) or various concentrations of SPR (S) or the mineralocorticoid receptor antagonists CAN, TMS, or EPR, and cells were examined for GFP expression by fluorescence microscopy 24 h after treatment.
