Rats developed erectile dysfunction prior to coronary artery endothelial dysfunction in response to a Western diet. (A) The area under the curve (AUC) of all voltages of the voltage-dependent erectile response was attenuated 8 weeks into the Western diet. (B) ACh-stimulated vasodilation of the coronary artery was attenuated 12 weeks following initiation of the Western diet (elevated EC50). *P < 0.05 vs. Control group, **P < 0.01.
