P values relating to differences between tissues, nondiabetics vs. diabetics, and their interaction are reported. HSL, hormone-sensitive lipase; PLIN1, perilipin 1; AQP7, aquaporin-7; B1AR, β₁-adrenergic receptor. For each gene, an analysis of variance was performed to compare the gene expression between tissue type and disease status and also to account for possible interactions.
