Amino acid starvation enhanced sunitinib resistance. (A) Phase contrast microscopy showing more accumulation of yellow granules in 786-O cells incubated with 10 μmol/L of sunitinib cultured in HBSS medium (sun + HBSS) for 24 h compared to cells cultured with 10 μmol/L of sunitinib in normal medium. (B) Determination of sunitinib autofluorescence by FACS after incubation with 2 concentrations of the drug (sun 2.5 and 10 μmol/L) during 24 h.
