(A) The left common carotid artery (LCCA) of Atg7+/+Tagln-Cre+ (+/+) and Atg7F/FTagln-Cre+ (−/−) mice (n = 3) was ligated for 5 d. Gelatin zymographic analysis of the LCCA to detect MMP9 and MMP2 activity followed by densitometric analysis (***, P < 0.001; NS, not significant; Student t test). (B) Western blot analysis of the LCCA for TGFB, CXCL12 and GAPDH.
