Fig. 1 — Experimental setup. Susceptibility to salmonid alphavirus subtype 3 (SAV3) of Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar L.) 2 weeks (Phase-A) or 9 weeks (Phase-B) post seawater- transfer (wpt). Triplicate tanks of shedder fish were intramuscularly (i.m.) injected with SAV3 approx. 1 week before the day of experimental challenges in order to obtain seawater containing SAV3 for BI challenge.
