Cells were recovered from the ear dermis at 13 wks post-infection with 1000 LmSd. (A) Representative dot plots showing the frequency of CD4+ T cells staining positive for IFNγ following a 4 hr stimulation with PMA/ionomycin. Graph shows the frequency of CD4+ T cells present in individual ears staining positive for IFNγ, with means ± SD of the pool of two independent experiments (n=3–5 mice, 6–10 ears/group/experiment); * p<0.05. (B) Concentration of IFNγ in culture supernatants following Ag stimulation for 72 hr.. Data are means ± SD of 3–7 mice per group; * p<0.01.
