Mean (± SEM) number of immunoreactive axon terminals per surface of thin sections examined in different brain regions after dual immunolabeling in WT mice at immature (P15) or adult (P60–70) age (n = 5 mice per age). Statistical differences were calculated on the ratio of labeled terminals per examined surface. **p < 0.01 compared to VGLUT3 in P15 mice; p < 0.05 compared to VGLUT3 in P60 mice.
