Cluster of orthologous groups (COG) classification. a In total, 8,375 of 72,885 unigenes were grouped into 25 COG classifications. b 1,074 of the 2,770 DEGs were grouped into 25 COG classifications. DEGs were enriched in the biological processes such as “transcription”, “replication, recombination and repair”, “signal transduction mechanisms” and “carbohydrate transport and metabolism”. Compared to COG analysis of all unigenes, DEGs were significantly enriched in the terms such as “cell cycle control, cell division, chromosome partitioning”, “lipid transport and metabolism” and “secondary metabolites biosynthesis, transport and catabolism”, while less enriched in the terms of “translation, ribosomal structure and biogenesis”, “posttranslational modification, protein turnover, chaperones” and “intracellular trafficking, secretion and vesicular transport”
