HBV transgenic mice hepatitis model. Nontransgenic (B10.D2; H-2^d) mice were immunized with either recombinant vaccinia virus or HBsAg protein. Spleens were harvested and stimulated in vitro with irradiated HBsAg-expressing P815 cells. Primed spleen cells were restimulated and expanded in vitro, and cloned by limiting dilution method. HBsAg-specific CTL clones or cell lines were intravenously injected to HBV transgenic mice (1.3.32; inbred B10.D2, H-2^d). Liver inflammation and viral clearance were observed in HBV transgenic mice.
